Practical information

The mediaeval town of Sarlat, nestled between the Vézère valley and the Dordogne, in the heart of the Périgord Noir, is ideally situated for visiting the most well-known sites – Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Domme, Les Eyzies, Lascaux and les Jardins d’Erignac are all less than 30 minutes away from L’Hostellerie by car, and less than 50 minutes away are Rocamadour, Padirac, Collonges la Rouge and the vineyards of Bergerac Cahors.

Even after a stay of several weeks at l’Hostellerie, there will still be places you’ll want to visit and things you’ll want to do (walking, horse riding, boating, cycling, quad biking).

There are so many sites that it is impossible to travel more than 2 or 3 miles without discovering exceptional views and magnificent houses, chapels or castles.

And, of course, the Périgord is synonymous with gastronomy (foie gras, confits, truffles, ceps…).
